Kyle Walker-Peters Returns to Southampton
Former England International Re-Signs with Saints
New Deal through 2027
Kyle Walker-Peters has made a permanent return to Southampton FC, signing a contract with the club until 2027. The 25-year-old fullback returns to the Saints after a season-long loan spell in 2021-22, in which he made 37 appearances in all competitions.
Walker-Peters, who came through the Tottenham Hotspur Academy, joined Southampton on loan in August 2021 and quickly established himself as a key player in Ralph Hasenhüttl's squad. He made 29 Premier League appearances, contributing 2 assists, and played in both legs of Southampton's FA Cup semi-final tie against Manchester City.
Walker-Peters' impressive performances earned him a recall to the England squad in March 2022, where he made his senior debut in a friendly against Switzerland. He was also named in Gareth Southgate's provisional squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Southampton FC's recruitment team, led by Sport Director Joe Shields, has worked tirelessly to secure Walker-Peters' permanent return to the club. The defender has agreed to a four-year contract, keeping him with the Saints until the summer of 2027.
